Amruta has been learning Bharatanatyam under the able guidance of Guru Smt.Karpagavalli Sai Sankar for the past 8 years and is excited to showcase her learning in her Arangetram, or solo dance debut concert. Determination, commitment, and hard work, culminating in her Arangetram, exemplify her love towards this divine art form. Over the years, she has represented Gurukrupa School of Indian Dance at numerous concerts. She has performed Bharatanatyam at many events, including Cary Diwali, India Fest, Tamil Cultural Association, and Tamil Sangam. She had the honor of completing her Salangai Pooja in 2021. She has also been a part of Gurukrupa School of Indian Dance’s large-scale productions – Mahishasura Mardhini, Venkathri Vaibavam, Shambo Mahadeva, and Krishnarpanam. She looks forward to her Arangetram as a stepping stone in her dance journey. Amruta is a rising sophomore at Green Level High School, and is an academically accelerated student taking Honors and AP classes. She was nominated by her

teachers for the Outstanding Student Award. She also enjoys spending her time volunteering and giving back to the community. She is a future STEM pursuer and loves to get involved in many STEM-oriented clubs at her school. Additionally, she enjoys cooking, singing, playing the piano, traveling, nature, and being adventurous.
